2008 Sailboat Owners Survey
Sure, you've got your Boats of the Year and Top 10's and all that, as determined by big-time sailing experts. But don't you think it's about time somebody consulted you?

After all, you've sailed the boat more than once. In all kinds of conditions. With, for better or worse, all kinds of crew. On waters all around the world. So who, exactly, is the expert here?

The 2008 Sailboat Owners Survey is your opportunity to rate and evaluate your boat. Not against some million dollar Swan. But against criteria that really matters:

Your expectations.

Here's how it works. Answer 16 multiple choice questions about your boat. We'll compile the results and rank all the boats that receive enough ratings to be statistically valid.

So take three minutes to make your opinion count. Because who knows your boat best? Some world class racer who spends more for sheets that your boat is worth? Or you?

Guidelines
  1. Complete as many surveys as you like, but just one per boat.
  2. Please limit surveys to production sailboats. There's really not much point in evaluating your custom, one-off S&S schooner because nobody cares but you.
  3. Evaluate a boat you have sailed, have owned in the past, or currently own. If you didn't/don't own the boat, we ask that you are experienced in the general care of the boat as would normally be associated with ownership. The Beneteau you charted for a week in the BVI probably doesn't meet that criteria.
  4. Don't bother to answer questions that don't apply to your boat. For example, if you don't have a galley, don't rate the galley.
  5. Please answer the questions honestly. Objective owner input is so much more interesting than cheerleading.
This survey is for entertainment purposes only. The results will not be sold, nor will any data you submit be provided to anyone, except as an aggregate of boats you submit. You comments and ratings will be kept strictly confidential, just like White House email.
